There's been many a grandiose personality crafted for them thanks to their reputation, but in truth, Rodha is quite reserved. They can can come off as aloof or awkward to strangers because of this, but it's usually no fault of their own, they just need a chance to get to know the person. Rodha cares deeply for those close to them, and prefers to express that through actions rather than words. And while they remain humble about it, they're well-aware of the power they have and have no qualms about using it to help others as long as their intentions aren't too unsavory. They're more on the observant side, and though helpful in some cases, they have a tendency to focus too much on the little details and might need to get pulled back into seeing the bigger picture. For all their attempts at restraint, Rodha can be terribly impulsive at times, and will act on whatever thought seems right to them in that moment. They want to avoid any strife caused by letting them out, so hiding their feelings, especially the more volatile ones is Rodha's default. However, this hiding has made them a rather resentful person over the years and depending on how long said feelings have been bottled up, they'll reveal themselves eventually, regardless if Rodha means for them to or not.

▍ Weaver
Their first love out of all the jobs. Despite the problems they had with adjusting to their new home, a young Rodha quickly became enamored with Ul'dah's fashion ― the variety of fabrics, colors, and patterns inspiring them to study the art of designing and to start creating their own clothes. They've long since broadened their knowledge and personal sense of style and are currently working on plans to open their own boutique, The Silver Thread.
↪ Whenever they're traveling, whether it be for fun or their Warrior of Light duties, they sketch any design ideas they have in one of their many journals to make for later.
▍ Aether
Rodha's aether has been ice-aspected ever since accidentally forming a pact of sorts with the Ice Elemental thanks to words said while on the verge of passing out after a fall into a river. With how long it's been since that encounter, they're now used to tuning out the Elemental's whispers and the strange changes such has had on their body and magic, not that it makes it any easier to deal with.
▍ Dragoon
They had no true aspirations for becoming a Dragoon, only choosing to accept the offer because of Nidhogg's eye resonating with them and they thought it'd be silly to pass up on something that could make them wield their lance better. Even so, Rodha was diligent in their training with Alberic and Estinien whether said training was purely physical or involved a history lesson. The events of Heavensward and beyond combined with the bonds they've forged with the dragons they were taught to hunt has given them a different understanding of what it means to be one, and it's a title they carry close to them.
↪ Both the Ice Elemental and the time they spent fused with Hraesvelgr's eye left a lasting effect on their soul that extends to their abilities, resulting in their attacks being icy compared to the usual fire associated with Dragoons.
▍ The Echo
In addition to its usual traits, the Echo manifests for Rodha in a way that allows them to interact with dreams/memories through dreams. Whenever they experience it, they go completely still, frozen in the memory or emotion they're witnessing.
▍ White Mage
Rodha becoming a White Mage was mostly out of necessity, wanting to understand how to deal with the sudden shift in their aether and why the Ice Elemental reached out to them. When they discovered the reasoning was simply it wanting to test, or rather, prove something to the Wind, Earth, and Water Elementals that are typically associated with Conjury and they happened to be there, Rodha was... less than pleased. But their upbringing in the Golmore Jungle made them wary of upsetting any force of nature, thus they "accepted" this and practiced Conjury alongside their Lancer training. This decision became harder as they learned more about the permissions required to use White Magic, but as they grew stronger and journeyed further from Gridania, they've been able to shape it into their own.
↪ Because of this, Rodha's healing feels like someone's directly pressing ice to the wound, along with the slight burn of frostbite. When it's done, those who it was used on will feel like they're defrosting for a while.
▍ Music
Their love of music started when Dorielle joined their family, and thanks to her, they know how to play the flute, lute, and piano. Rodha also enjoys singing, but hesitates to do it in front of people, however, those close to them might be able to pull a song or two of them if they try hard enough.
Before becoming the warrior they’re known as today, Rodha was born in the Golmore Jungle as Rodha Ljanta, child of Yara and younger sibling to Tyri. The first nine years of their life were spent peacefully there, unaware of the Garlean Empire and the growing tension between their mother and their village because of differing views on how to deal with said empire. One night, that peace was shattered when an injured member of the Damalscan resistance stumbled into Ljanta Village. While the others wanted to send her away, Yara chose to take her in and offer aid—a decision that would lead to her being cast out.Since they were only kits, Rodha and Tyri were given the option to stay in the village with the rest of their people, but chose to stand by their mother, who, with the help of that resistance member, was able to find a boat that would take them out of Dalmasca. They spent quite some time at sea on several ships, and eventually, their travels led them to Ul'dah. With how different the city-state and its people were compared to everything they knew in the Golmore Jungle, Rodha was more than wary of the decision. Still, Yara was able to find work and provide for them because of her skill with a lance, and in time, Ul'dah became home.As they grew up, their mother joined the Adventurer's Guild, where she met her future wife, the bard Dorielle Lynn, while Tyri followed in her footsteps. Rodha, who was still young and had no desire to fight, took an interest in the arts, mainly weaving and music. They continued honing their skills and joined the Weavers' Guild when they were old enough, hoping that the time they spent there would help them become a renowned designer, though, that quickly changed once the Calamity struck. Her family went to join the others at Carteneau, but only Dorielle and Yara returned from the battle, both heavily injured, and Tyri was presumed dead, like many others who disappeared there. Despite the healer's best efforts, Yara and Dorielle eventually succumbed to their wounds — leaving Rodha to deal with the pain of all their losses. In mourning, Rodha loses their passion and gives up that hope, only choosing to keep at it for the sake of making gil while they try not to become lost to grief. In an effort to escape the feeling, and their sense of aimlessness, Rodha decided to leave Ul'dah in pursuit of the Lancer's Guild in Gridania, wanting to become at least half as skilled as their mother was. Despite its beauty, Gridania is...not what they thought it'd be. Still, they didn't let this deter them and spent the next three years training and adventuring — honing their skills as a lancer and picking up conjury as a necessity after a chance encounter with the Ice Elemental. After the incident with Foulques, who they befriended in the early years of their training, Rodha decided they've had enough and finally left the Lancer's Guild, but not without reluctantly accepting Ywain's last request of seeking out Alberic.Even with all the research they did beforehand, Rodha found themself unprepared for the violent snowstorm that greeted them when they made it to Coerthas and would've become lost to it if not for coming across Alberic himself. He guided them back to the Observatorium, where they were able to warm up and meet his former pupil and current Azure Dragoon, Estinien. Nidhogg's Eye resonated with Rodha during the visit, which greatly confused all of them, though led to Alberic offering to train them. Much to Estinien's dismay, they accepted the offer and spent the next two years in Coerthas and Ishgard by extension. When they left Coerthas, Rodha decided to finally return to Ul'dah after all these years, but their plans shifted when they stumbled upon a Lalafell and a Hyur man being attacked by a voidsent. After helping them out, they discovered a strange crystal and heard Hydaelyn's call again, the voice and the vision leaving them shaken in a way they hadn't experienced since they were young. A week passed by before they ran into the Hyur man, Thancred, again — the aftermath of this encounter leading to them joining the Scions of The Seventh Dawn.

Yara Lynn (Mother, Deceased)
Yara was an overprotective, though still very loving parent, and she always supported Rodha in their endeavors, even if they didn’t lie in combat like the rest of their family. Ever since that night where she chose banishment over letting a stranger die, Yara has been one of Rodha's biggest inspirations for what it means to do good, and losing her created a hole in their heart that has only recently started to heal.
Dorielle "Dori" Lynn (Mother, Deceased)
Rodha's second mother, whom raised them and Tyri as if they were always her own. Thanks to Dorielle's warm and outgoing personality, the two became close the moment Yara introduced them. She encouraged Rodha's love of the arts and always did her best to encourage a love of themself as well. It's because of this that Dorielle's voice is a constant in Rodha's mind in times of self-doubt, and the ache of her death is still one that Rodha's trying to soothe.

Tyri Lynn (Brother)
Their older brother by 4 years. Tyri very much loved his little sibling and always did his best to look out for them — whether it be from bandits during their deliveries or treating a simple scrape they got on their leg. When Tyri became an adventurer, he promised Rodha to take them on one, but because of the Calamity, they never got that chance.Though presumed dead, Tyri is discovered to be alive during the events of Endwalker, but had no memories of Rodha or his mothers. As of 7.0+, he's gained a good chunk of them back, but with how long they've been separated, their bond is still one that's being rebuilt.
*yugiri in my canon is a transfem lesbian who uses she/her, and erenville is a transmasc nonbinary lesbian who uses any pronouns
Yugiri Mistwalker (Engaged)
They were mutually intrigued with each other ever since Yugiri's arrival in Eorzea. With how busy they both were, they rarely got a chance to speak on a personal level, but during one of Rodha’s "off" days, they offered to show Yugiri around and ended up cooking for her — marking the beginning of their friendship. Rodha gained a crush from the conversations and moments they shared together, but it isn't until after the events of the Bloody Banquet that their relationship started to blossom into something more.

Confessions were only given after the Dragonsong War. The night before Yugiri's departure, Rodha finally poured their feelings out in a letter that Yugiri wanted them to voice before revealing that she felt the same. They spent the rest of the night in Yugiri's room, talking and reminiscing on everything that led them here, and when the time came for her to leave, Rodha was given a kiss and a promise that they'll see each other again. That promise gets fulfilled when they reunite in Yanxia, where they decide to officially be together despite everything going on.The events of Shadowbringers see them separated once more, and with the Final Days happening so soon after, the time they're able to spend together becomes even more cherished. When Rodha returned from the Edge of Creation heavily injured, Yugiri, who was sick of not being there for them, chose to stay by their side and aid in their recovery — the choice becoming a permanent one once Yugiri had her affairs in Doma in order. The two become engaged a year later after Yugiri proposes, but decide to put a pause on wedding planning as they travel throughout Tural.

Erenville (Partner)
Rodha and Erenville had a few encounters prior to EDW, but their friendship officially started while Rodha was recovering in Old Sharlayan. They found each other easy to talk to and often swapped stories of each other's travels as Gleaner and Adventurer when they could. Erenville's straightforwardness was welcomed compared to so many who walked on eggshells around them because of their status as the Warrior of Light and their injuries, especially when Rodha was stubborn about them. Though it was through one of these stubborn moments that they became closer.
One day, Rodha made an ill-advised trip down to Labyrinthos and ended up stuck because of their injuries. Erenville, who was returning from their own trip down there, stumbled upon them and the two ended up talking — where Rodha finally let themself be vulnerable and expressed their frustrations and grief about all of this, while Erenville revealed a softer side as he comforted them. After she helped them out of Labyrinthos, Erenville spent the next couple of weeks dwelling on just how much she's come to care for Rodha, reluctantly accepting that her feelings were romantic ones. Out of respect for Rodha and Yugiri's relationship, along with a few other things, he keeps them to herself and reasons that he should simply wait for them to fade.Rodha, on the other hand, becomes aware of their feelings for them after Erenville returns to Sharlayan with Wuk Lamat. As they catch up, Rodha is struck with the realization of how much they've missed both him and being around him, something that sends them spiraling straight to Yugiri. The discussion they have ends with Yugiri urging them to follow their heart, but Rodha instead waits for them to fade too — a feat that proves to be hard for them and Erenville both while in Tural. Though it isn't until the announcement of Erenville's eventual departure that the two decide to do something about their feelings. After bumping into each other on the way to the other's room, to two decide to talk on the beach instead where they eventually confess their feelings. Despite her plans, Erenville and Rodha choose to be together, making the most out of the time they have now and vowing to make more in the future.
